Spring

It's here at last!   I can feel that familiar achey feeling from being outside and raking out the flower beds that have lost their snow.  Plants are sending up tips of new growth and the ice is almost off the smallest pond.  My face feels hot from the sun I'm not yet accustomed to and I'm sure I'll sleep very well from all the fresh air.  There is a lot of clean up to do this year.  Joseph is still outside dragging brush from the trees that we had taken down to open our gardens up to a little more sun.  I chose to  honor the health of my spine and give it a bit of rest so that it will be ready for more work tomorrow.

This year we plan on putting in some fruit trees, nut trees and more berries.  We have blackberries,  elderberries, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries but not enough.  We'd also like to have our own nuts.  A Chinese Walnut is something I'm thinking of planting.

This year I'll be making several new flower essences and that is exciting.  Some new essences are needed for a combination to treat addiction.  I also have a new kit coming out that I'm excited about.  I'll write more about it another time.  In the meantime, blessings to everyone in this glorious springtime!

The Greening

No, it's not this green here yet.  This is from a few years ago.  Cleo was just about to fly across the lawn after an imaginary prey.  This is a Narcissus named "Thalia" and one of my favorites of the medium sized daffodils.  Cleo would want me to tell you that she is one of my favorite medium sized cats.
